Hello there, friends of Unity Joy of Life!
Well, not too long ago, there was a question that was posed, and the question was, "If you were to give advice to your younger self, what would it be?" Well, for me, I would say to my younger self, "You will have some difficult moments. That's life on planet Earth. But bottom line, you will weather each situation, you will get through each situation just fine. You're going to be okay. God has always got your back. God's got you."
Well, it's Christmas season right now. In the past, at least when I was growing up, not as much so much now, but it was a major tradition to send Christmas cards around this time of year. And I remember just stringing them up like garland around our kitchen windows. I loved it. It was so much fun to see which Christmas cards would come through. And I remember that every year we would receive the poem, "Footprints in the Sand". We would either get one or two cards, sometimes more than that. You might remember it. It's a well-known poem that shares the message of faith and hope and divine support during challenging times. And the poem describes a person that's walking along the beach - there's footprints - and there's two sets of footprints along life's journey. And most of the time there were two sets, but there were times when there was only one set, because God carried the weary soul when life seemed unbearable.
Can you recall maybe your own personal footprints in the sand?
"During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
Know this. God is with you. You are never alone. Let God carry your burden. When God is carrying you, when you are willing to just let go of whatever is on your mind, you are lifted and embraced by unconditional love. You feel totally supported, and you will feel like you have never walked alone.
My friends, you will always be directed by divine guidance, and you will always be directed to do what is for you to do. When you let go, and when you allow God to carry you through any situation, when you just let go and be carried, you are then carried into deeper levels of physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and relational well-being. You are safe. You are secure.
So, since there is no time or space, consider telling your younger self, your present self, your future self that God loves you, and God will carry you through any burden that you might have, or any challenge, or any difficulty.
Just let go. God's got this.
And with that, I say, Happy Christmas Advent! The subject is faith, and hope, and divine support.
God bless you, and until next time, I'm keeping the faith for you.
