Hello there, friends of Unity Joy of Life!
I'm so glad that you tuned in today, because this last week I was reminded of a quote by Rumi that says, "If you're not in awe, you are not paying attention."
This last week, my husband Steve and I went up to the Strawberry Festival in Northern California. It is there where you can listen to bluegrass music, but what is so unique about this festival is that campers and RVs get to park around these amphitheaters. We're parked within these ponderosa pines and then you can walk to all these different acts that are going on. Beautiful music! Beautiful atmosphere! Wonderful people! It's truly a spiritual experience! And on this one day as I was walking toward one of the groups, I see these two RVs parked next to each other. One had an American flag with another flag that said, "Don't Tread On Me". Right next to it was the rainbow flag and stickers on the RV that said, "Biden/Kamala Harris". I looked at those and I thought, "Oh, I wonder how that's gonna go."
I put them in boxes, if you will, in labels. And what I saw was that both of the people in those RVs came out, one with a ukulele, one with a guitar, and they started playing beautiful music together!
And I was in awe.
If you are not in awe - if you are not rising to a higher perspective - you are not paying attention.
Many times we put people in these boxes and we forget that we are all on planet Earth taking the master class called, "Planet Earth", and we are doing the best we know how to do. We are all children of God.
My friends, if we continually put each other in these boxes, then we're not in awe. So your homework this week is: be in awe and pay attention, because behind every person that you see is a heroic journey. We've all got stories, and we are all children of God.
So, until next time, I'm keeping the faith for you. God bless you, my friends.
